Tracy Anne Smith
I was born on the 29th March 1962 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire and have lived in Aberystwyth, Wales since 1989. I am a mother of two beautiful boys who continuously inspire me and keep me motivated as they grow up in the beautiful Welsh landscape. My intention is to share my knowledge and skills and encourage others in this thriving art world.
My Further Edudaction study has awarded me with a BTEC National Certificate in Fine Art with History, at Coleg Ceredigion, Aberystwyth, and Higher Education at The School of Art, Aberystwyth, resulting in a 2.1 BA Degree in Fine Art with History and have just graduation with a PGCE Further Education Teaching. I run a voluntary small art group in the village of Penrhyncoch where we study simple drawing and painting techniques and enjoy a community gathering. (all welcolme! 07817 589852))
My work evolves from surrounding images and everyday circumstances. I am very aware of how the subconcious mind generate surprising outcomes within my artwork. I am inspired and stimulated by colour, but I also love the contrast of black and white. I am drawn to the geometric pattern of structure and architecture and the curvacious lines of the human body which also can be found in the panoramic views of the landscape. The diversity of my work encourages me to use mixed mediums to enhance textures and appearances in my chosen subject.
The process of Etching with Aquatint has captivated me. The transformation of my imagery occurrs as a result of techniques, creating magical and tonal qualities within the printing process. My nature evokes energies to create representational images and build compositions in an abstract form. I am enthused by challenging my artistic skills and thrive on creating commissioned pieces of art work to specific requirements.
My imagination runs away with me and encourages me to interpret images in collage and introduce mixed textiles to enhance my work.
Most of all, I want to share my imagination and artwork with you! If there is anything you desire, let me know, I love to be inspired.
I really enjoy a recipe, give me your interior decoration colours and let me paint for you?
